Playstation 3 Slims Down Price

Gamers on a budget your prayers has been answered by Sony. Sony introduces the new PS3 Slim with a price tag of $299. A much needed reduction in price for those likes me who considers themselves frugal. For those who are still holding on to the PS2 games that they would play every once in awhile on the original Playstation 3, it is a sad day for all of you, because PS3 Slim will not be backward compatible with PS2 games. I personally do not think this would be too much of a concern for gamers, because they are playing most current games that have been released.

Not only will there not be a glaring dent in wallet and purses of consumers, the PS3 Slim's weight is lighter than their predecessor. Hey, I was won over by the price and the concessions for price drop were minimal. I will pick up mine since they are supposed to be in stores today September 1, 2009. I know like many others I am glad that I waited for the PS3 Slim to slim the price down to make itself more attractive to the gamers on a budget.
